Bourgeois Resigns at Oklahoma

Rhett Bourgeois, coach of the Oklahoma Sooners, has resigned from his position. He was not meeting the lofty expectation of the Sooners this season which included a blowout loss to USC.

Oklahoma has named defensive coordinator Brent Venables as the interim coach. The timing is interesting considering Oklahoma faces Big 12 rival Alabama this week. It has been reported that Bourgeois has been seen wearing LSU gear recently and may join friend Bo Staples staff as an assistant.
